Planning Behind

It's almost the end of January and I'm finally getting around to buying a new planner for the year. It only took several instances of pulling out my old one and flipping through it to make an appointment to realize that I had run out of room. By the time I got to Target, everything was completely picked over... and I'm picky about planners. I like them dated, with plenty of room to write down event details as well as plenty of room to doodle and write down words and quotes that strike my fancy. I've always loved Moleskine journals, but didn't realize until now that they also make planners. So I bought their 2009 Red Pocket Daily and am counting the 3-5 business days until it arrives!

Lurrrving: bonzie

Lurrrve has been full of Etsy love lately, but I just can't resist posting these gorgeous wraps and things from Bonzie, an independent fashion label based in Ireland. I am coveting everything in this shop.

I mean, how romantic and beautiful is this bridal wrap? It's the perfect finishing touch.

Tea-stained bridal wrap, $65

I'm also seriously in love with this little silk wrap. It's bright red and perfect for a romantic Valentine's Day date over your favorite little black dress:

Call me!

Now that the book I co-wrote is (mostly) finished, I've been circulating some of my writing clips in the hopes of generating some more freelance work. I mailed a completed contract to a new client this week, and was really wishing I had some business cards specifically for my freelance clients to include in the envelope.

Then, I realized I knew the perfect place to find some beautiful, moderately-priced cards -- Etsy.com, of course! There are some really pretty ones out there, and if your new year's resolution is to jump-start your career or hop on the networking train, let me help:

Mommy Calling Cards, 50 for $18 (I don't have kids, but these are my favorites.)

Peacock Calling Cards, $25 for a set of 50

Dahlia calling cards, $35 for a set of 100

Turntable Calling Cards, $22 for a set of 36

Botanical Calling Cards, $28 for a set of 100
