Wallpaper that will floor you.

In my imaginary dream home, there's a powder room off the foyer with fabulously loud wallpaper (think decorative equivalent to Janis Joplin). Enter Graham and Brown, available online at Design Public. Their patterns make me want to be a wallflower:

Lurrrving...bathing suit season?

As a girl who just got back from a vacation that prominently featured beer (lots of beer) and a lot of hearty food like Irish stew, I will not be attempting to squeeze my butt into a bathing suit any time soon. However, I stumbled onto these handmade Jessie Williams suits today at Edge of Urge and had to share.

Cute, flattering, reversible (although I do have reservations about a reversible bathing suit, but...let's not go there)--and in a bunch of colors. $98 for the top, $55 for the bottom.

One-half of Lurrrve is going on vacation.

So posting may be lighter next week while one of us takes a (much needed) vacation.

Grassroots is a super cool online store out of Toronto that offers environmental products for your home, office, mama, baby, bath, etc. As part of their 10-year anniversary celebration, they have Feel Good Fridays. On the last Friday of each month, Grassroots donates 10% of their net sales to local or national environmental organizations. So mark your calendars!

I love indie clothing labels, and today I stumbled on Wiksten via Oh Joy! -- loving this simple Haeshu Dress made out of denim ($150). I think I could live in it all summer.

Taking Care of Frizz-ness

I'm an Aveda girl. I have more hair than God, and have searched far and wide to find product to tame my unruly tresses. Other gels and sprays have helped, but I always come back to Aveda and its lurrrvly aroma of pure flower and plant essence.

Mexico is for lovers.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at La Villa del Valle in beautiful Mexican wine country exactly one year ago. It was spectacular -- the food was incredible, the wines were delicious, the scenery was beautiful...but the true gem was this little six-room bed-and-breakfast.

The proprietors, Phil and Eileen, took wonderful care of us -- they even went horseback riding with us! The villa's breakfast each morning was a hearty breakfast of eggs, tortillas, refried beans, and fresh avocado, complete with homemade granola, and a freshly-squeeze juice (strawberry, melon...you name it). The dinner service was just as lovely, and we often felt as if we'd chosen to spend our honeymoon in Tuscany instead of in Mexico.

If you're looking for a European destination but don't have the budget for European prices (or just want something different), I highly recommend our little villa. It won't be a well-kept secret for long.
